LEAVE THE RIG?
The bars do not hold themselves. The cue will be lost if you walk off now.

Purely cosmetic. Applause is earned at the rails — or taken from the AD slot on the playbill.

The Flyman’s Cue Sheet
You work the side-stage rail in an old theatre. Before the curtain rises, every fly bar must stop on its cue line.
Ride the rails. Hold UP or DOWN. Releasing does not stop the bar — momentum carries it, friction bleeds it off. Expect overshoot; feather with short taps.
Pick your rope. Tap a brass rope eye (or the bar itself) to switch which rope the rails drive.
Counterweights. Tap a spare block to carry it, then tap a bar to hang it. Heavy bars fly slow and dull; light bars twitch and overshoot. The stage load gauge caps how much weight may hang at once.
The latch. A bar locks when it rests inside its cue line at low speed. All bars marked before the cue timer runs out — or, in Acts I and II, before you simply feel ready.
Marking. Three marks: settle within the nudged tap budget and (Act III) well inside the cue timer. One star still pays.
Miss a cue. A botched cue retries instantly, free, always. Ads are an optional polish, never a door.
